Outlook Login Problems After the Latest Update:

If you’ve recently opened Outlook and started receiving repeated login prompts or “Enter Password” messages, you’re not alone.

Microsoft released its "September 2026 Patch Tuesday" updates, which included critical security fixes and performance updates for Microsoft Outlook.

As a result, some users are unexpectedly be asked to re-enter their mailbox password through a pop-up window.

How to resolve the issue

To stop the pop-up from appearing, enter the mailbox password you normally use to log in to your mailbox.

If you continue to receive the pop-up after entering your password, this may indicate that the password you entered is incorrect.

In the meantime, you can access your mailbox through AppSuite using the button below. AppSuite can also be used to check whether your password is correct. Login Portal for AppSuite

If you receive the message “The username or password is incorrect” this means that your mailbox password is incorrect.

If you need to reset your password, you can use our password reset tool: Reset your password

Once your password has been reset, enter the new password into the Outlook pop-up window.

This should prevent the pop-up from appearing again.
