Hey, I'm Dave. If you're a client of ours, there's a good chance we've spoken...

About Me

As the elder of the team, it's my responsibility to draw on all my decades of experience & support the team in delivering our amazing websites to our small business clients. I handle new client sales as well as working on the technical side of things for our customers domains & emails.

I'm a family man with a wife, daughter, 2 cats (who do not get on) & a dog that everyone, especially the cat (and our clients) seem to adore! Football is my passion, and although 3 ACL injuries & 3 subsequent operations have put a stop to any more playing, I love to still watch as much as I can and try to stay healthy by going to the gym & working out at home in my own 'man room' as my wife calls it.

My Role at Toolkit

I've worked at Toolkit Websites since 2012, starting out as a support team member and moving through the company to now lead the day to day operations within the business. I work closely with our owner, Marcus, every day on everything that keeps the business ticking over, from sales, development, platform updates to office management & HR.

Like most of our clients, we ourselves are a small business, so it's important the managers & newbies on our team are always happy to pitch in and do whatever it takes to keep the company moving forwards.

What's your favourite part about your job at Toolkit?

Delivering our exceptional service & product as it's a culmination of all the processes we've put in place and the team delivering their part of each project. From the first call with myself, to Taylor building the website, Emily publishing it on to the web and James taking things over supporting the business with general changes & SEO support in the future.

We really care about our clients and we're passionate about how important a good website is for a small business. Seeing the results is always great, but it's the publication surveys we get at the end of the project that mean a lot to us. Anything less than 5 stars is a failure!

What are some of your favourite moments?

I've been here long enough to have a fairly good highlight reel, however memories of business success come second to the people who have come through Toolkit, starting their careers & moving on to new roles thanks to what they learned with us.

We have a track record of investing in young talent which pays off when you see how immature inexperience can turn into passionate & mature experience in the space of a few months. I'm proud to say we've launched some careers and continue to support young professionals as they start out in their working lives.
