Author - Olena, Website Developer - Toolkit Websites.
Hello, I`m Olena - A Web Developer here at Toolkit.
About Me
I've been a front end web developer for over 3 years now. Before moving into the tech industry, I worked in customer service and various online platforms, learning the value in offering good support to existing clients. Over time, I realised coding was for me and I've loved working for Toolkit Websites ever since.
In my free time, I like to develop my skills and learn new technologies and when we can, my huisband and I love to get away and travel.
My Role at Toolkit
I’ve been working as a Web Developer at Toolkit for 2 years now, under the guidance of Taylor and Emily. I love being part of this team — everyone is incredibly supportive, and whenever I have questions, there’s always someone ready to help.
I also collaborate closely with Dave and Marcus, who are always great at helping me understand organisational and process-related questions. The team environment makes learning and growing feel natural and encouraging.
At Toolkit, I turn designs into fully functional websites — sites that real people use every day to find information online. That’s something I find really rewarding. Every project is different, modern, and thoughtfully designed, which makes the work both exciting and a valuable learning experience.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the constant opportunity to learn and grow while working on meaningful projects. The mix of creativity, problem-solving, and a supportive team environment makes the work both enjoyable and motivating.
What are your favourite website designs you’ve done for Toolkit?
All of the designs I’ve worked on are modern and unique in their own way, but a few stand out as my favourites.
-
Philippa Gedge
has a very stylish look, with beautifully placed text alongside the imagery.
-
Beechdown is clean
, minimal, and well balanced overall.
-
B Network works
especially well thanks to its service tile layout, which suits the brand perfectly.
-
North London Psychotherapist
stands out for its soft, calming design and gentle colour palette, which creates a very welcoming feel.
-
Ashbourne UK
inspired me with its interior-focused content — I enjoy creating and organising my own space, and this site even gave me new ideas for my own home.
-
Wild Camp Van Conversions
is a personal favourite because of the theme — I love the idea of van life and travelling the world, so working on this project felt particularly inspiring.
What are your future goals at Toolkit?
My goal is to continue growing as a web developer, improving my technical skills and taking on more complex projects. I also want to contribute more to the team by sharing knowledge and helping deliver even better websites for our clients.
