About Me
Father of two daughters and now a West Sussex local, I started Toolkit Websites in 1999 in Southampton from my bedroom at home, initially focusing on marine based websites only, before later branching the company out to support small businesses all over the UK. It's been an amazing journey, growing the business to over 1,300 UK clients, supporting dog walkers, solicitors, tradesmen, artists, schools and every
other type of small business you can imagine
. I often have to remind myself about how far we've come by looking at
our history page here.
I class myself as a techy and although I work away from the client facing front lines, I still believe amazing service is the key ingredient to a successful business, which can only be delivered by people, for people. Toolkit Websites was built on a passionate service promise, guaranteeing clients a quick response on calls, emails or SMS, whatever day or time it's needed and it's allowed us to grow healthily over the years.
My Role at Toolkit
I work closely with Dave, our Ops guy, to ensure our platform and systems give him and the team everything they need to design, build, power and support our clients websites. For security and reliability reasons, I've custom built our own Content Management System, CRM Back Office and Webkit website engine that powers our sites. By building these ourselves it allows us to take ownership of our service and ensure the best and most secure platform for our clients websites.
I'm incredibly proud of the websites we produce and believe that more now than ever, a website is key to a businesses brand and ongoing marketing.
