Data Protection Laws
In May 2018 the law changed. Based on our interpretation of GDPR, businesses must now be encrypting their client's data when submitted through the business website. Without SSL, your customer's data is being passed from their browser to the Web Server in plain text. Adding SSL to your website encrypts that data, so if anyone were to intercept it, you've ensured that they can't read the personal information.
