What is Bulk Mailing?
Bulk or Mass Mailing is the act of sending one email to multiple recipients in one go. A business might use Bulk Mailing to keep in touch with its customers, announce a new product or sale or to inform its customers of an update to the business.
How can you do it?
Bulk Mailing can be done through a Bulk Mailing Email Service, which is designed to send thousands of emails in one go. Although all of the different Bulk Mailing services will be different, the general process is the same:
1: Upload your contacts
2: Create your email
3: Schedule or Send your email to your contacts
What are the benefits of Email Marketing?
Bulk Mailing is a fantastic way to market your products and services. It’s incredibly cheap compared to other forms of marketing and offers analytical data you can use to evaluate and then improve your marketing approach.

Why can’t you use your normal mailbox?
Normal mailboxes are designed for day-to-day emailing, not Bulk Mailing. Of course you can send emails to multiple recipients, but there’s a difference between sending an internal email to 5 colleagues and sending a generic email to over 50 contacts.
Email services can tell the difference between day-to-day emails and Bulk Mailers, and if you do Bulk Mail from a normal mailbox, you’ll probably find that your email address becomes blocked by either your own email service or your recipients’ service.
What Email Services can’t tell the difference between is who may have sent a Bulk Email from your mailbox. An email service has no way of knowing if you are sending legitimate emails to your customers who are happy to receive your emails, or if a virus has got into the mailbox and is bulk-sending spam across the web to random email addresses. As such, for their own protection, different email services may then block you to protect its users.
