Why are you based in Southampton? |
Quite simply, we love it here. It's a really green place to live in more ways than one. Southampton is the only city in the UK with a geothermal power station, providing hot water to a city centre district heating scheme. It's also been ranked as being one of the lowest carbon emitting cities in the United Kingdom. Along with great environmental credentials, Southampton is named the 'Green City' because it has loads of beautiful green spaces and parks. Our offices are quite near the Common, a piece of public land that any one can use for playing sport, relaxing and walking their dogs. There's even Hawthorns Urban Wildlife Centre and several lakes. When you stand in the centre you can't hear the traffic and we love to escape there after a busy day designing websites. Apparently, it's officially one of the best places to live in the UK if you're single and under 30. Whilst that doesn't apply to all of us here, we agree with the reasons why. It's a vibrant city, with a low cost of living and a great range of bars, clubs and entertainment for the evenings. Our web design offices are in Bedford Place, one of the older parts of the city where you can find some of the best restaurants and bars. Our favourites are a meal at Coco Rio and a drink at the Orange Rooms. Southampton is also a really well connected city, making it easy for us to get out and about when we need to. The M27 and M3 link us to London and the rest of the South by road, and Southampton Central Station means we're only an hour away from London by train. There's even Southampton Airport if we need a holiday from looking after your business website. The one thing you can't ignore is the docks in Southampton. It's a working port with a long maritime heritage. Some of our earliest clients were companies in the marine industry and we love meeting up with them at events like the Southampton Boat Show. It's a green, vibrant, well connected city. Why not be based in Southampton? |
