 Our website of the week is this clean, professional design for SMC Accountants, a small online accountancy business based in Northern Ireland. Our contact for the project was Stephen McCormick, a qualified Chartered Management Accountant, who set up SMC Accountants to offer internet-based accountancy services to sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. He wanted the website to have a business-like and trustworthy appearance, to look approachable, and to have a stylish edge that would make it stand out from the crowd. We created this smart, clean design based on his requirements - the colours are quite clinical, to project an image of clean reliablility, and the subtle gradients give depth and variation to the white background. The website also makes full use of our page dressing service. The majority of the content is decorated with subtle silver panels and minimalist speech bubbles, whose shadows give a feeling of depth and open space to the site. Throughout the design process, our project manager Kitty was in consultation with Stephen, to ensure that the finished website would match his requirements.
