Over the past 3 years they have been working on a new front end to our websites that will load even faster (something that search engines factor into their results) and give our clients many new cool tools to help them with their company website. Know as the Webkit, this is the front end system code that underpins how our websites display in website browsers, so overhauling this has been a huge job. Today we’re pleased to announce that the new Webkit is officially beta launched! The new platform allows us to develop and deploy new functions at a much faster rate, so if you have an idea for a new function for your Toolkit website, please get in touch! Many of the new tools in the Webkit have been added as a direct result of customer feedback. The new Webkit is opening up a world of new design possibilities for our design team with better looking updateable drop down menus, static headers per page, sidebars per page and most importantly the new system is delivering faster website load times. The time it takes for a website to load is being taken into consideration by search engines so we want to ensure all our websites load as speedily as possible. The full Webkit launch will be towards the end of the year for all our clients, but many of our newer websites are being built on the new technology and they are enjoying the design flexibility and speedy load times.
